Celebrating Zambia's 50th Independence!

One land and one nation is our cry,Dignity and peace 'neath Zambia's sky, Like our noble eagle in its flight, Zambia, praise to thee. All one, strong and free.

Happy 50th Independence Day to my motherland, Zambia! I thank God for the people that fought tirelessly and endlessly to secure the freedom that our peaceful country has enjoyed for the past 50 years.

There's nothing worse than a free man who is still bound in his mind, bound by his fears, bound by the struggles and hang-ups in his life! The most important freedom is not being free from the rule of another man but being free in your mind. My hope and prayer is that as we celebrate this milestone in our history, as we celebrate our freedom from colonial rule, we would also celebrate our freedom from all the chains that hath us bound that only God can break.

Our Zambian flag comprises of four colors - green, orange, black and red. You can see my failed attempt at trying to wear a green dress in this chartreause midi dress from Asos (close enough right?).
