High-Waisted Shorts w/ Button Down Shirt

Happy hump day! I have been quite unproductive the past two days as I was still recovering from my long weekend. I had a baby shower to attend in New Jersey and if you know me, you know I despise going anywhere that requires me to be driving for an hour – it’s even worse when you have to drive through Manhattan. After the baby shower, I had to rush back to Long Island so I could go to Jones Beach Theater to see The Weekend perform at the Billboard Music Festival. On Sunday, I had to go to Connecticut for a neighborhood block party ---- the struggle was real!

As temperatures slowly start to cool down, I would like to make the most of my summer outfits, hence, the army green high-waisted shorts (similar at Abercrombie & Fitch). I wanted to pair them with a peach button down shirt that I found at Sears and some tiger print heels from DSW. My accessory clutch is handmade by Khadeidra of Le Gendre. She has a collection of beautiful handmade pieces inspired by the Afro-Caribbean culture so her pieces are mostly mixed with Ankara fabrics.
