Ripped Jeans, a Mustard Duster and A Little Dose of Kindness
I was reading a very powerful post the other day by my bestie, “If God graded your work ethic, would it pass as worship?” You can check it out here. It had me thinking about how everything we do, no matter how small it may seem, should be done as unto the Lord as an act of worship.
I attended a work event about a week ago and I was having a conversation with two of my coworkers. I don’t remember how the conversation started but one of them started off by telling the other one how beautiful I was and then proceeded to say that when he first started at the job, no one talked to him and that I was the first one to go up to him and have a conversation. He said I was so nice to him, he’ll never forget it.
I was so touched by his gratitude because it never really occured to me how much it would impact someone’s life by me just going up to them and saying hi. That has always been me though, I always notice that one person that looks like they just need someone to talk to and I just go up to them and have a conversation; that is literally how I got a best friend for life and I’m so thankful for that.
The world is very unkind and I think each of us can make an effort to show a little kindness to one person, and they in turn will be kind to someone else. Kindness is contagious. Everytime somene is kind to me, I always find myself going out of my way to be kind to someone else.
About this look:
Duster - Boohoo // Jeans - Mandee // Shoes - DSW // Bag - Michael Kors // Watch - Michael Kors
Who ever thought ripped jeans would be fashionable? I absolutely love them but as the temperature keeps dropping, they are not my go to option unless I’m wearing tights underneath. I paired the jeans with a Boohoo mustard duster, which is a favorite of mine for the fall season. To instantly upgrade the look, I wore the leopard print heels from DSW. It doesn’t matter what you are wearing, heels always make any look more elegant.
What are your favorite colors to wear for the fall?
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time, stay blessed.
