Hello darlings,

There’s a lot of tension going on in the U.S right now, specifically in Ferguson and now, New York. I would like to take a moment of silence to remember the people that have lost their lives at the hands of those who vowed to protect them. I would also like to take a moment to thank the officers that risk their lives every day to protect and serve us. As history repeats itself over and over again, I realize that harboring hate, bitterness and unforgiveness does not do justice to anyone. It’s easy to judge people when you have no clue about the battles that they fight everyday; you cannot understand someone else's struggles, hurt, and pain unless you have walked a mile in their shoes. In the midst of it all, I really hope and pray that instead of taking sides, we would extend a little more kindness to people that are different from us and treat everyone with the uttermost worth and respect that we all deserve.

Now that I just got that off my chest, let me quickly mention something regarding this outfit post. It was when I was writing the outfit details portion of this post that I realized that the blazer, blouse, pants and shoes were all purchased from Charlotte Russe at different times. They have some great affordable pieces that can be worn to work.
