Heels with Statement Pieces

I have been eyeing these pointed-toe pumps with the oversized bows on Instagram and when I came across the cheaper version by Madison on shoedazzle, there was no thinking twice about whether or not I wanted to get them. I have a penchant for shades of purple so it only seemed right to pair these magenta pumps with the lavender dress that I wore back in the summer in Lavender Glow.

Last night, I was having a conversation with one of my friends on titles and the value placed on them by so many people. I must admit I have never been a fan of titles, I feel like they place people in a box. While titles may be important to most people, they are not to me mainly because whatever title I may have does not define or identify me. Titles and identities are interlinked and I don’t want to get to a point where I find my identity in things, in my job, education, relationships, etc. The only title I want to have is the child of the King of Kings!
