The Perfect Pencil Dress for a Holiday Party
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu
Hey guys,
I can't believe we are literally counting down to Christmas; I also can't believe that we are counting down to 2016. There are quite a number of goals that I set out to achieve this year that haven't happened yet and I know they will definitely happen in 2016 so I'm already thankng God for a great year ahead. I'm super thankful for all of the prayers that were answered this year.
I love December because it's a month of love (not February). December reminds me of sacrificial, unconditional love that knows no boundaries. This year has been a constant reminder that when the people closest to you are going through a difficult time, you feel their pain and go through it with them. And when their prayers are answered, you can't help but celebrate with them because then your prayers have also been answered.
There are a lot of parties that take place in December and sometimes findng the right outfit to wear can be a daunting task depending on the crowd that will be present. This week, I'd love to post a Β few outfit ideas that I hope you will find useful, starting with today's outfit post.
Outfit Idea 1: The Perfect Pencil Dress
I love pencil dresses mainly because of their versatility - they can be worn pretty much anywhere from work, church, parties, etc. However, the pencil dress in this post is more on the dressy side and that makes it ideal for a work holiday party. It has a deep v neck cut that is slightly covered by the stole (lately, I can't get enough of a variety of stoles that I purchased from Forever 21, they are so warm and fuzzy). The dress also has an open back and a back slit. The dress is a litte bit sexy but also classy at the same time. It is perfect for a work party because it's neither short nor too revealing!
I purchased the dress from Asos, they have a wide selection of midi dresses that you can purchase here. You can also buy holiday party dresses from Topshop and Lipsy. I'll cover my next holiday party dress idea in the next post!
Thank you all for stopping by!
