All Black for a Holiday Party with Over-the-knee Boots
It is better to live for one day as a lion than for a thousand days as a sheep. - Tibetan Proverb
Hey Guys,
Happy Friday! I wanted to highlight a few holiday outfit ideas leading up to New Year’s Day. It’s amazing to see how one’s style can evolve overtime and lately, I’m shocked to find myself drawn to dark colors, especially black. You know what they say – one can never go wrong with a little black dress when it comes to going out, it is always perfect. For my next holiday outfit idea, I selected a simple short black dress and paired it with a gold Bebe belt that instantly upgraded the dress. That’s what I love about the right accessories – they will upgrade any simple look to look more fancy.
In this look, I elected to wear the dress with over-the-knee boots instead of regular heels or sandals, which I would wear on a normal day as the weather this month has been a little crazy. I can’t believe we have reached high 60’s (I’m not complaining).
This year I splurged a little on several pairs of boots for my winter lookbook. I love the black over the knee boots that I purchased from Shoedazzle before cancelling my VIP membership (I needed that cash for my gym membership instead :-)). These are definitely not boots to walk in as they are quite uncomfortable.
Since I was feeling bold and going for an all-black look, what better way to complete this outfit than to throw on a mid-sleeved coat with side slits? I hope you guys like my second outfit idea for your upcoming parties!
