One is never over-dressed or under-dressed with a little black dress.

It’s Friyayyy!!!! Thank the heavens.

I was trying to work out this morning and after 8 minutes into the session, I was like, “That’s it, I can’t do this anymore! Not only was I tired, but Zoe and Zaria kept getting into my workout space and not giving me any room to move around. BUT I looked myself in the mirror and I told myself, “I can do this!” It was a real struggle, but we made it through the workout session for the day.

I am convinced that kids are God’s way of giving us a tiny glimpse into how much we stress him out on daily basis, but I won’t get into that. Today, let’s take a break from all the deep conversations we’ve been having this week, shall we?

Let’s talk about a new trend that is taking the fashion world by storm - puff sleeves! Whether it’s on a dress or a blouse, puff sleeves are chic and stylish and definitely make a bold statement.

I don’t think I realized how obsessed I was with puff sleeves until I started counting the number of clothes that I’ve bought this year that have them. While this trend is not exactly new (nothing in fashion is), it has definitely made a comeback and is here to stay.

About this little black dress:

You all know black is classic elegant color that will never go out of style. I was thrilled to find this bodycon mini dress from Femme Luxe Finery for a couple of reasons - I fell in love with the sleeves and my wardrobe falls short when it comes to a variety of clothing options in black. There’s something about the puff mesh floral sleeves that elevate this mini from simple to glam. It’s the perfect outfit for a date night (depending on where you are going), going to the club or going to a party like New Year’s Eve. It’s a bit on the tight side, so be sure to order a size up for more comfort.

For this post, I wanted to pair this body hugging mini with some super long sandals from Public Desire to cover up some of my skin. Did it work? You tell me 😊. I have to admit, sandals with straps that go up to your thighs are the most cute and annoying invention ever. The straps do not stay up - you have to keep pulling them up, which defeats the purpose.

Can we take a moment of silence to appreciate how my abs look in this pic? LOL (don’t mind me, I’m a mess). The material on this dress definitely reveals all the curves on the body.

If the mini dress is not for you, there’s a way that you can still enjoy the dress by adding length to it simply by adding a skirt over it. I’ll be showing you guys how this looks like in another post. I was hoping to have it done this past weekend but boy oh boy was it hot. I don’t think most people understand the work that goes into planning and shooting outfits for the blogs. It’s a lot of work, so please do us a favor and share, comment and like the posts once they go up.

You can check out some other bodycon dresses from Femme Luxe Refinery here. Let me know what you guys think of this look and if you have any ideas of how you’d wear it differently.

I’m going to be taking the next couple of days off from blogging! See you guys on back here on Monday. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend.
